Native American Women's Vote Joins UNV

The Native American Women's Vote has worked with Montana Women's Vote, Montanans For Health Care Reform, Forward Montana, and a coalition of regional groups on health care reform.

UNV is proud to welcome the Native American Women's Vote in a joint effort to build electoral efforts across Montana and U.S. communities. National partnerships sought out by NAWV are with NAKASEC, Center for Community Change, and The White House Project.

The Need to Cross Issue Organize

We are working on the most basic level to organize the vote in Great Falls, Montana. It is hard work, we have worked across party lines to get our folks elected. Some of our successes have been in supporting Bill Salinas, Cascade County Commission, Mary Jolley, Great Falls City Commission and most recently Bill Winters and Fred Burows for Great Falls City Commission.
We of course worked and mobilized for the Presidential election in 2008 and worked with the campaign of Barack Obama. We vote our interests; our local interest is in getting a cultural center built in the community of Great Falls.
